I wrote this ballad for Roza, who came to the UK all by herself when she was just a child. Watching her grow up and achieve such amazing things has been one of the greatest privileges of my life—she truly became the second daughter I never had.
Despite the heavy, dark things she’s had to face, she has this enduring hope that just shines through her eyes, and I wanted the music to celebrate that courage. It’s a song about her journey, of course, but it’s also about the two of us. It’s a testament to the unbreakable bond we formed and that life-changing moment when I realized I wasn't just a mentor or a supporter anymore—I was a father figure. I’m so proud of the woman she’s become.
