Walk in Chicago # 3, the north of the Loop and Navy Pier
Walk in Chicago # 3, the north of The Loop and Navy Pier, is a good complement to Walk in Chicago # 1 and Walk in Chicago # 2 for exploring downtown. This time, it will be on the recreation side as it passes through the Children's Museum and the Navy Pier rides. It also runs along the river then the lake and explores the northern part of the Loop.
Count between 90 minutes and 4 hours to complete it depending on what you decide to do along the way. It is about 3 miles long.
It can be combined with walk in Chicago # 4 (the Magnificent Mile and the Gold Coast) for a complete introduction to Chicago if you have already done walks 1 and 2.
You’ll get a 5 pages pdf with a clickable map showing you the way, steps by steps instructions for your walk, info about unusual places to visit, location of restrooms and places to sit, and 8 photos taken along the way. Try it, for the price, you don't have a lot to loose and it could be your best experience in the city!
”The self-guided tour begins with a blurb of information containing a quick overview, highlights, how to go there, the author's opinion of using a car, and information about restrooms along the route. This extra information is what sets this walking tour apart from others. It's an insider guide” Extract from a university research paper written by Mackensie Tobor, March 2023.
