This self-guided walk takes you to arts centers and museums that are largely on the University of Chicago campus.

It is also a walk of architectural discoveries as several buildings on your route were created by famous architects.

It's finally the opportunity to see the site of the first nuclear test in the USA, a colossal statue of Tutankhamun with countless other treasures from the ancient Middle East and a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in case you haven't had the opportunity to go see some in Oak Park.

NB: if you have not already done so on another site, you can read the philosophy and general content of this itinerary by opening the “About the walks” link above or below.

An enjoyable walk

There are a lot of free art stuff to discover along the walk and I wouldn't have found all of them on my own or it would have taken me a lot of time, so it was money well spent! Too bad there weren't any info about specific restaurants but well, thanks anyway!

Hi Janet, I don't put info about restaurants because I don't know your taste so I could be wrong and restaurants tend to appear and disappear so it would be too complicated to check them all the time, but for the rest, I'm happy you found things you liked. I didn't know anything about this part of the city before scouting it and it was a very good discovery when I did it.
