Approximate finished size: 50" × 50"
Gauge: 21 stitches × 22 rows = 4" / 10 cm
Worked: Bottom to top, right to left, with the right side facing throughout
Terminology: US crochet terminology
Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate
Recommended hook: 3.5 mm, or size required to achieve gauge
Finished dimensions are approximate and may vary according to yarn choice, hook size and individual tension.
APPROXIMATE YARN REQUIREMENTS
Using Stylecraft Special DK or a similar DK-weight yarn:
Colour A – Background: approx. 600g
Colour B – Contrast: approx. 400g
Colour C – Motifs: approx. 200g
The sample colour palette uses:
Colour A: Spearmint 1842
Colour B: Charcoal 1128
Colour C: Fondant 1241
Yarn quantities are approximate. Individual tension, yarn choice and the number of overlay stitches worked can affect yarn usage, so purchasing an additional ball of each colour is recommended.
