Penny Knicker Sewing pattern DIGITAL
Do you want to get into making your own underwear but don’t know where to start? Start with Penny! Penny is made with a woven or rigid fabric so you don’t have to worry about using stretchy fabrics. She can be made in a large variety of material that is easily available in your local fabric shop. Choose from cottons to crepes, and many more! Once you’ve made Penny in her Plain knicker version, why not challenge yourself and add a bit of lace for that extra special look using the included Lace Guide! This pattern is designed specifically for beginners so there’s nothing too complicated. There’s even an elastic cut length guide so you don’t have to guess your elastic lengths.
You will learn how to make these knickers on a sewing machine by using the instructions booklet which has lots of photos, showing you every step. There is a lace guide to show you how to work with scallop edged lace, if you want to take things to the next level. You’ll learn how to insert a basic gusset liner, how to apply lingerie elastic and how to sew a French Seam. This pattern is ideal if you’re a beginner sewer.
