People are working for longer. In 2026, 72.2% of people aged 50 to 64 were in work, and there are now 9.4 million payrolled employees aged 50 and over. Yet ill health, not choice, is the biggest single reason people in this age group leave work early: of 3.4 million economically inactive 50 to 64 year olds, 43.8% are out of work because they are sick, injured or disabled. With the State Pension age rising to 67, keeping experienced people healthy at work has never mattered more.

APEX Healthy Ageing Workforce is a complete, ready to deliver training programme for HR, wellbeing, occupational health and L&D teams. It equips managers to challenge age myths, apply the law fairly, support health changes across the working life, design work and adjustments for every age, hold fair career, carer and retirement conversations, and share knowledge across generations.

• Online course (3.5 hours): 5 modules and 15 interactive lessons with knowledge checks, a 10 item toolkit and a 20 question final assessment. Learners who score 80% or more download a personalised certificate. Runs in any browser and can be hosted on your intranet or learning platform.
• 40 page fillable workbook: in A4 and US Letter, including a myth or fact quiz, team age profile, age bias language check, menopause and sensory support checklists, job demands review, adjustments menu and passport, flexible working checklist and planner, mid career review planners, training access audit, reverse mentoring plan, carer support checklist, retirement conversation planner, critical knowledge map and a personal healthy ageing plan.
• Facilitator slides (Team licence and above): 26 editable PowerPoint slides with full speaker notes.
• Facilitator guide (Team licence and above): half day, modular and age audit workshop plans, practical activities, scenario cards, answer keys, an evaluation framework, rollout emails and a senior leader briefing note.
• Forms (Team licence and above): attendance register, before and after confidence surveys, session evaluation and a fillable certificate template.
