Robin and Wren Poinsettia wreath - fabric kit and printed pattern

Celebrate winter with this sumptuous mounted textile art work. A robin and wren nestle amongst bright poinsettia and uplifting Christmas roses against a background of deep blue linen with a lovely yarn dyed finish. Rich coloured sloes, red and white berries and curving branches of eucalpytus complete the picture.

This fabric kit and printed pattern is a one-off pattern and not part of a set. This block measures 11"  square, although I have here mounted it on a 12" frame to give it a little more breathing room.

It features a plain background with raw edge applique (sewn without fusible) secured with free-motion embroidery. The applique is cut from batik fabrics and layered to build up the birds and the foliage.

The fabric kit includes the background fabric (approximately 14" square linen), the applique fabric (labelled), freezer paper for easy cutting and stabiliser for sewing. A printed copy of the pattern is included.
