Trio Purse and Tote Bundle

The Trio bundle includes a pattern for the purse and the tote. The tote comes in two sizes. Finished dimensions are listed below.

All bags may be made in fabric, vinyl, or garment weight leather. They can be sewn on domestic or industrial sewing machines.

There are no videos as the instructions are clearly written. This is not a difficult pattern for someone who is familiar with inset zip pockets, recessed zippers and rolled handles.

There are full patterns for the purse, medium tote and large tote. In addition, there are cutting dimensions listed for those who prefer to print as few pages as possible. Additionally, there are projector files for those who wish to cut that way or for those who want to have a one page pattern printed at a print shop.

All bags have an interior zip pocket and a slip pocket. The shoulder strap is detachable.The purse has a recessed zipper, while the totes are secured with snaps.

Purse: 11” wide, 8” tall, 4.75” deep

Medium Tote: 14” wide, 10.5” tall, 5.5” deep

Large Tote: 16” wide, 13.5” tall, 7.5” deep

Recommended Fabrics: Vinyl, Quilter’s Cotton, Broadcloth, Canvas, Lightweight Denim, Duck, Chintz or Home Decor weight for the outer. Lining fabrics, broad cloth or lightweight cotton for the lining.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS -YARDS:

Pellon 70 is suggested for structured bags. However, foam or Pellon SF 101 may be used for softer bags.

Notions:

 1/8” or 1/4” Double sided tape (DST)

Edge paint as desired

Purse:

.5 yard of 54” wide for the exterior. For the lining, .75 yard 45” wide, .75” yard Pellon 70 or foam and 1.5 yards lightweight fusible interfacing.

Totes:

Medium- .75 yard 54” wide for the exterior. For the lining, 1.5 yards 45” wide, 1.25 yards Pellon 70 or foam and 1.75 yards Lightweight fusible interfacing. .

Large- 31” length or 1 yard 54” wide for the exterior, 1.5 yards 45” wide for the lining, 1.75 yards of Pellon 70 or foam and 2.25 yards Lightweight fusible interfacing.

Totes both sizes-:

One 10” zipper, four purse feet, two magnetic snaps, six 1” D, O, or rectangle rings, one 1” slider, two 1” snap hooks and eight rivets. The rivets are optional. One yard 5/16” cording for handles.

Purse:

One zipper at least 14” long, one 7” zipper, four purse feet, one magnetic snap, six 1” D, O or rectangle rings, one 1” slider, two 1” snap hooks and eight rivets. Rivets are optional. .75 yard 5/16” cording for handles.

*The purchased zipper length is measured between the stops. If using zipper tape, use the pattern pieces as a guide.

Please feel free to sell finished items you personally make using a Frankie T pattern. However, these patterns are not for use in mass production. Additionally, contracting a third party to reproduce the pattern pieces in any form or to produce finished bags made from our patterns is prohibited.However, copy shop printing for personal use is permitted.
