
Colour Breathing - Gold & the Golden Flame of Illumination
Colour breathing is a simple technique that can be used to reduce stress, manage anxiety, improve oxygen intake and much more.
Most of us live shrouded in stress and anxiety. Whether it comes from fears and worries about what’s waiting just around the corner in our life deadlines and stresses associated with our jobs, concerns about our financial situation, the state of our health, or even relationships, stress and anxiety never seem to be too far away in life.
And, as a result, our breathing tends to be shallower than it should be and not as revitalising as it could be.
When you breathe using colour, you breathe in and incorporate the mood and emotions emanated by that specific colour.
In this exercise I invite you to breathe with the colour gold and with the Golden Flame of Illumination. You shall begin colour breathing with the colour gold to not only bring revitalising energy into yourself, to also balance and harmonise your thoughts and feelings. You’ll then use it to open yourself up to tune into the Golden Flame of Illumination, prepare you to go within, and connect with the essence of your soul so you can begin to awaken to your full potential.
Gold – the colour of the sun as it rises over the horizon, casting a warm, radiant glow upon the world. It is the shimmer of autumn leaves catching the light, the brilliance of a field of sunflowers standing tall, the glint of treasure buried deep within the earth. Gold is the flicker of candlelight in the darkness, the thread of ancient wisdom woven through time.
When you think of the colour gold, words like abundance, strength, confidence, illumination, and success may come to mind. Gold is the essence of warmth and vitality, filling the spirit with a sense of empowerment and purpose. It is the colour of achievement, of inner richness, of knowing your worth and stepping boldly into your light. Whether in the golden hour of sunset, the gleam of precious metal, or the soft glow of a lantern guiding the way, gold reminds us to shine unapologetically, embrace our divine potential, and walk forward with courage, knowing we carry the light within us.
Gold has a warm, empowering presence that uplifts the spirit and strengthens the soul. As a colour of illumination, confidence, and abundance, it is especially beneficial to breathe with when you seek clarity in your purpose, courage in your actions, or a deeper connection to your inner wisdom. Gold radiates a sense of strength and assurance, reminding you of your innate worth and limitless potential... among other things.
Some further words to share with you about this exercise before you begin:
- The Golden Flame of Illumination is the inner spark of clarity, wisdom, and higher understanding that resides within us all. It dissolves fear and self-doubt, revealing our true purpose and limitless potential. By connecting with this divine light, we empower ourselves to seek truth, expand awareness, and step fully into our brilliance with authenticity and confidence.
- This is a powerful exercise and you may experience a number of sensations or you may see colours, feel a warmth or glowing presence, or something similar. This is nothing to fear or worry about. It is perfectly safe.
- Thanks to gold’s warm, empowering nature and its ability to inspire confidence and clarity, this is a wonderful breathing exercise to practice in the morning or before important moments in your day. It can be especially beneficial if you struggle with self-doubt, as gold encourages inner strength, sharpens focus, and fills you with a sense of purpose and vitality.
- Although this exercise doesn’t take long, ensure that you won’t be disturbed by anything (people, pets, phones ringing, computer beeping) during the exercise.
