BEATLES TAXMAN. Poster-quality Printable Download.

“Taxman” is the first track on The Beatles’ album ‘Revolver’ released in 1966. Written by George Harrison (with a small contribution from John Lennon), the song was in argument of the UK’s supertax.

“I had discovered I was paying a huge amount of money to the taxman. You are so happy that you’ve finally started earning money – and then you find out about tax…In those days we paid 19 shillings and sixpence out of every pound, and with supertax and surtax and tax-tax it was ridiculous – a heavy penalty to pay for making money. That was a big turn-off for Britain. Anybody who ever made any money moved to America or somewhere else” –George Harrison.

This poster depicts the lyrics to the song wrapped around the face of George Harrison as drawn by Klaus Voorman.

Will look fantastic if framed, especially if printed at UK A3 / USA Tabloid or Ledger (but will resize to any).
