Nezu Museum: Art, History, and a Hidden Garden
The Nezu Museum in Tokyo is home to a stunning collection of Japanese and Asian art, from calligraphy and paintings to ceramics and textiles. Originally the private residence of Nezu Kaichiro, a passionate art collector and industrialist, the museum was founded in 1940 to preserve his collection.
The scenic garden features two ponds, stone lanterns, Buddha statues, and tea houses, with winding paths revealing new discoveries at every turn. The modern café offers garden views while you enjoy coffee or lunch.
