Quinty Quilt Scarf | Knitting Pattern

About

The Quinty Quilt Scarf is a made-to-measure scarf that you can design yourself! The pattern includes 8 different motifs that are inspired by traditional and modern quilts. This is a good opportunity to play with yarns and use scraps :)

The Quinty Quilt Scarf is knit from tip to tip in the round using circular needles. The edges are finished using a crochet hook. Lastly, fluffy tassels are added on each corner of the scarf. 

The final outcome is a light-weight double layered scarf that requires no weaving in ends!

Skill

Difficulty 2/5. Knitting two stranded colorwork. Catching floats in colorwork. 

Gauge

16 sts x 20 rounds = 10 cm | 4 inch *before* blocking.

20 sts x 18 rounds = 10 cm | 4 inch *after* blocking. 

Using 6 mm | US 10 needles measured in stockinette. 

Needles

6 mm | US 10 circular needles with 40 cm | 16 inch cable.

4.5 mm | US 7 crochet hook for edges. 

Measurements

Width before blocking | 20 cm | 8 inch.

Width after blocking | 16 cm | 6.25 inch.  

Length before blocking | 165 cm | 65 inch. 

Length after blocking | 182 cm | 71.75 inch excl. optional tassels. 

To be able to wrap the scarf once around your neck, we suggest a final scarf length that is approx. your height + 15 cm | 6 inch. 

Our sample is made with 5 repeats of chart A and 5 repeats of chart B. 

Yarn

1 strand of Aran weight yarn.

The pattern is designed for a minimum of 4 colors of yarn but more can be used.
