Talhah bin Ubaidillah: The Living Martyr

Talhah bin Ubaidillah was nicknamed the living martyr, because during the battle of Uhud Talha fought with great courage.

He constantly protected and accompanied the Prophet from attacks by the Quraish infidels. Until finally Talha collapsed and fell unconscious.

Over 79 sword slashes, javelin thrusts and arrow throws filled his body. His wrist even broke on one side.

Because he was so badly injured, Talha was almost declared a martyr. However, it turns out that Allah still gave Talha a long life. So that he can recover from his injuries.

From that incident, the Apostle said, "Who wants to see people walking on the face of the earth after experiencing death, then look at Talha..."

Talha was one of the first ten friends to convert to Islam. Throughout his life he never broke a promise. He is known to be very rich.

One day, he was confused about his abundant wealth. Then, on the advice of his wife, all his assets were donated to the poor.

So all his money and wealth ran out until there was nothing left. Since then, Thalhah has been nicknamed "Thalhah the diverter of wealth", "Thalhah the philanthropist" or "Thalhah of goodness and benevolence".

Because of this privilege, Talha will later become the Prophet's neighbor in heaven.
