Pieces of Cirton shawl is light weight and airy shawl filled with summer joy. The shawl is worked top down, alternating garter stitch and lace stripes. The tiny lace pattern bobbles make the shawl stretchy and comfortable to ware. Picot edge brings together the delicate idea behind the shawl.
Yarn: 2 skein of Lanitium Exmachine Basic Sock
(Fingering, 75% wool + 25% manufactured fibers, 420m = 100g)
Needles: US 4 / 3.5mm, 40” / 100cm long circular needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain pattern gauge.
Size: Wing span 195cm and 55cm deep.
Gauge: 20 sts x 18 rows = 10cm of garter stitch after blocking AND 7 lace “bubbles” high = 10cm.
