DESCRIPTION
Wintermint Socks are made of lace and twisted ribbing. This lacy pair of toe-up socks is worked in fingering-weight yarn. The rhythmic, repeating lace pattern on the foot and leg is simple to knit and quick to memorize. The socks are knit from the toe up with a stockinette sole, twisted-rib heel flap, and a twisted-rib cuff. Purl ridges accent the transition from lace to ribbing or vice versa.
The socks come in four sizes for the foot (58, 62, 66, and 70 stitches) and three for the leg (56, 64, and 72 stitches) with adjustable foot and leg length. Right and left socks are identical and can be worked two-at-a-time up to a point. A little stitch re-adjustment is needed right above the heel.
The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Both written and charted instructions are given for the lace pattern.
