Eight Dimensions of Wellness

You might find this helpful if...

  • you feel your capacity for care is spread thin across many parts of life
  • you want to notice where a little more attention could help, without judgement
  • you're trying to achieve balance perfectly, and finding that pressure unhelpful
  • you find plain, shame-sensitive language easier to take in than clinical framing
  • you'd find a visual, colour-coded structure easier to work with than an open-ended reflection
  • you've noticed where your attention has been going, but not why

This resource won't tell you what to do

Wellness is not one thing. It moves across many different parts of life: physical, intellectual, emotional, environmental, financial, social, spiritual, and occupational, and each part deserves attention in its own way. Instead, this resource gently helps you to:

  • notice where attention has been going across all eight dimensions
  • reflect on what feels like it needs attention in each area
  • identify one small thing that could be tried
  • gently invite attention elsewhere, without needing to achieve balance perfectly

There is no right way to complete it, and no expectation that everything changes today.

What's included

  • Printable A4 PDF worksheet (2 pages), Print version for handwriting
  • All eight dimensions of wellness explained in accessible, shame-sensitive language
  • Reflective space for each dimension: what feels like it needs attention, and one small thing to try
  • Colour-coded sections for ease of use

This resource may be helpful if you're experiencing...

  • a sense that your capacity is spread thin
  • pressure to achieve balance perfectly
  • difficulty noticing where attention has been going

This resource is not...

  • a substitute for therapy
  • a crisis resource
  • a diagnostic tool
  • something you have to complete all at once

You are welcome to work through it at your own pace, return to it later, or use it alongside your own therapy or support if that feels helpful.

Created with compassion

Every Place to Talk Therapies resource is built around the same belief:

Change rarely begins with finding the perfect answer.

More often, it begins with enough safety to become curious about your own experience.

That means there are no perfect answers inside these pages, only gentle invitations to notice, reflect, and understand yourself a little more.
