Foundation / Kindergarten Term 1 Program
✨ Foundation (Kindergarten) – Term 1
Allah Created Everything
This Kindergarten homeschool learning program has been thoughtfully designed to support families seeking calm, meaningful and faith-centred learning at home. It introduces young children to the world around them through the understanding that Allah ﷻ is the Creator of all things, laying a strong foundation for both learning and imaan.
The program offers gentle, structured daily learning aligned with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) Foundation outcomes. Learning is guided through an Islamic worldview, not as an add-on or integration, shaping how children understand knowledge, purpose and their relationship with Allah and His creation.
Designed to guide rather than overwhelm, this program encourages consistency, simplicity and trust in the learning process. It supports parents who wish to remain closely involved in their child’s education while retaining the flexibility to choose their own resources, pacing and methods suited to their family.
This resource is designed to be used one day at a time, supporting steady routines and joyful learning experiences. It is not about rushing content or ticking boxes, but about nurturing children who love learning, value knowledge and recognise the signs of Allah ﷻ in the world around them.
This is not a scripted curriculum or workbook-based package. Instead, it serves as a flexible planning and guidance tool that supports parents in planning, delivering, assessing and record-keeping across the term, while ensuring curriculum coverage.
📘 Learning Focus – Term 1
English (Early Literacy & Language)
Children are gently guided through early literacy using research-backed, developmentally appropriate approaches, particularly important in the Foundation years. Across the term, learning focuses on:
- Developing phonological and phonemic awareness through listening, movement, stories and play
- Building early sound–letter connections and blending skills
- Strengthening oral language, vocabulary and comprehension
- Introducing early reading and writing through meaningful, age-appropriate experiences
These lessons are designed to support confidence, readiness and a strong foundation for future literacy learning.
Mathematics
Children explore early number and mathematical thinking through hands-on, real-life experiences, including:
- Counting, number recognition and early addition and subtraction
- Exploring numbers to 20 through stories, play and problem-solving
- Investigating shapes, patterns, sorting and early data
- Measuring, comparing and reasoning about length, weight and time
Mathematics learning is practical, playful and grounded in everyday contexts familiar to young children.
Integrated Studies (History, Geography & Science Foundations)
Children develop an early understanding of themselves, their families and the world Allah ﷻ created by:
- Exploring family, home, belonging and responsibility
- Learning about community helpers and shared responsibility
- Discovering natural features, caring for the environment and recognising blessings
- Developing curiosity, observation and gratitude for Allah’s creation
The Arts
Creative learning is woven throughout the term through visual art, music and movement experiences inspired by creation, including:
- Exploring colour, texture, light, sound and pattern
- Responding creatively to nature and the environment
