Visibility shapes how people are treated, In social, workplace, and community settings, people with disability may be present, noticed, or accommodated — yet still excluded from decision-making, and genuine participation.
Visibility Is Power is a short, practical self-paced development module that supports Beyond the Wheel Workshop participants to reflect on how visibility operates in real-world practice — and how everyday choices can either reinforce exclusion or create meaningful inclusion.
Designed for people working in support roles, workplaces, and community settings, this module focuses on visibility as a shared responsibility. It challenges common social expectations, unintentional assumptions, and patterns of behaviour that limit agency, dignity, and participation.
Through lived experience, real-world examples, and reflective prompts, Beyond the Wheel Workshop participants are encouraged to move beyond symbolic inclusion and develop greater awareness, accountability, and allyship in the spaces they are part of.
This workshop does not focus on blame or compliance.
It focuses on awareness, responsibility, and culture-shifting practice.
