A speedy knit bolero, great for a cool summer evening, feasturing a lace pattern reminiscent of the V‑formation of flying geese. Knit from cuff to cuff across the back this pattern features an all over lace pattern with garter stitch edging.

Yarn: 100 (100, 100, 110, 110, 120) (120, 120, 120, 120, 140) (140, 160, 160, 180, 200) g 4-ply / fingering weight yarn, approximately 420 m per 100 g.

Shown in: Hunting Hall Pure Organic Teeswater in Heron’s back; 4-ply; 100% wool; 350 m / 380 yds per 100 g.

Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 double pointed needles or circular needle(s) for working in the round on small circumference and large circumferences, at least 60 cm / 24” length suggested.

3.5 mm / US 4 straight or circular needle for working flat.

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker.

Skills: Cast on, working in the round, knit, purl, increasing stitches, decreasing stitches, picking up stitches, cast off, weaving in ends.

Gauge: 18 sts and 34 rows over 10 cm / 4” in lace pattern after blocking.

Sizing: Sizing is based on the stitches cast on for the sleeve circumference and the repeats worked across the back.  This pattern can be customised to fit by working your choice of sleeve cast on (arm measurement plus ease) and back repeats.
