TME Advanced Badminton – Complete Years 7–9 Scheme of Learning

Build confident, intelligent badminton players through 12 progressive lessons designed for Years 7–9. Pupils develop serving, clearing, drop shots, net play, controlled smashing, defensive returns, court movement and recovery before applying these skills in increasingly demanding singles and doubles situations.

The learning moves beyond simply performing shots. Pupils learn how to disguise intentions, create space, vary placement, recognise attacking opportunities and construct points against different opponents.

The resource includes detailed lesson plans, high-quality visual infographics, practical court organisation, teaching cues, equipment guidance and progressive practices. STEP differentiation, SEND and EAL strategies, safety guidance, Assessment for Learning and Head–Heart–Hands criteria are included throughout. Plan–Monitor–Reflect tasks and extended oracy prompts support tactical discussion, peer coaching, performance analysis and independent decision-making.
