Fairy Godmother's Spa Cloth is knit sideways, creating a pampering and luxuriant spa cloth. The pattern is named after a vintage lace stitch pattern, Godmother's Edging. This is a good beginning lace project and makes a lovely gift.
Skills Needed: Yarn overs, knitting two stitches together, slipping stitches.
Size: Approximately 7 ¾ x 8 ½ inches [19.7 x 21.6 cm].
Yarn: 1 skein Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine (Sport/5 ply; 100% Pima Cotton; 136.7 yds/50 grams) in one color or ½ skein each of two colors.
Needles and Gauge:
Circular or straight needles US size 4 [3.5 mm] or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 22 sts and 44 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter stitch. Gauge is not critically important.
