Worked from the center outward, this scarf is a perfect opportunity to showcase a gradient yarn or a delicious solid or semi-solid. A block of stockinette stitch in the middle of the scarf transitions into garter stitch ridges and a wide section of gathered stitches that add delicate texture.
Both written and charted instructions are included to make two different scarf sizes. This piece is worked in the round on two circular needles. Stitches are increased at each of the four corners to create the rectangular shape. Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a another yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished scarf.
Sizes:
Smaller size: 8” / 20 cm wide and 51” / 130 cm in length
Larger size: 11” / 28 cm wide and 57” / 145 cm in length
