+++This is a measure and cut pattern which means that there are NO TEMPLATES to print off and match up- Yay! You need a rotary cutter, ruler and mat and you can cut the pattern pieces straight from the fabric. This is easier than it sounds because the pieces are all simple squares and rectangles.
All measurements are in INCHES.
Everyone needy a reliable buddy to go shopping with! This tote bag is the answer - it has oodles of room and pockets all over to keep everything in its place. The recessed zipper keeps your precious purchases safe and tidy too.
Pattern rating: Intermediate sewist with some knowledge of sewing techniques assumed
Special features:
- lined slip pockets inside
- four zipper box pockets
-recessed zipper
-hard wearing waxed cotton base
Dimensions: 14" high x 16" wide x 5" deep
What will you need to make the pattern?
Fabric:
½- ¾ yd. printed canvas (depending on the width of the fabric)
10” dry oilskin to coordinate with your canvas
¾ yd. lining fabric
Interfacing:
1 ½” yds. style-vil foam interfacing (Vlieseline) or by Annie's Soft & Stable
F8th S320 fusible interfacing (Vlieseline) or Pellon Craft Fuse
Everything Else:
15” #5 metal zipper for the top of the bag
2x 4 ½” #5 metal zippers for the bag front
1x 7” #5 metal zipper for the bag back
1x 7” #3 plastic zipper for the lining
Small strips of leather or vegan leather to decorate the zipper pulls. You need about 6” sq.
4x rivets to match the colour of your zipper teeth
Coordinating threads for all fabrics and trims
Your usual sewing needs including scissors, markers, and extra feet for your sewing machine (zipper foot for example). You know, the usual stuff!
