++++THIS IS A PDF PATTERN, not a finished product. Your pattern will be ready for an instant download once your payment is processed+++
+++This is a measure and cut pattern which means that there are NO TEMPLATES to print off and match up- Yay! You need a rotary cutter, ruler and mat and you can cut the pattern pieces straight from the fabric. This is easier than it sounds because the pieces are all simple squares and rectangles.
When you buy this pattern, you have my permission to make this bag to sell- no mass production allowed of course but a few to sell at craft fairs or online, that sort of thing is fine. All I ask is that you credit me as the designer. I wish you all the success in the world with sales!
All measurements are in INCHES.
If you have some sewing skills and you want to get into bag making, the Atlanta Tote is a great choice for you.
It has a good selection of not- too- difficult pockets, the straps have an extra detail and the whole lot comes together to make a very roomy and useful bag. I love mine for my art materials but it would be a great shopping companion too.
We all need that one, go- to bag in our lives.
Pattern Rating: confident beginner bag maker; some assumed knowledge of techniques. Would suit a sewist who wants to start making bags.
Finished Size: 14” wide x 17” tall x 6” deep
Suggested Fabrics: quilting weight cotton, denim, canvas, furnishing fabrics, linen, needle cord
TIP: NEVER pass a curtain or furnishing remnant bin without having a rummage if you are a bag maker! Those fabrics are the perfect weight!
Gather these supplies:
Fabric:
20” light canvas fabric
14” cork fabric for the base
35” cotton fabric to coordinate for lining
Interfacing:
39” foam interfacing. I am using style-vil by Vlieseline or By Annie’s Soft and Stable.
FQ S320 fusible interfacing for the inner slip pockets (Vlieseline), alternatively Pellon Craft Fuse
Everything Else:
80” cotton webbing for the strap, 1 ½” wide
1x 6” (#5) metal zipper to coordinate
1x stud closure
4x rivets
Coordinating threads for all fabrics and trims
Any trims that you would like to add to make it yours – think about zipper pull embellishments (leather, silver charms or ribbon) and labels.
Double sided tape
Your usual sewing needs including scissors, markers, clear drying fabric glue and extra feet for your sewing machine (zipper foot for example). You know, the usual stuff!
***Due to the nature of PDF patterns, I regret that I cannot offer refunds so please choose carefully. Thank you for your understanding.
