Effect of rural poverty on environmental degration and health in ondo state

This study examines that poverty is more than a lack of income and a decent standard of living as its ramifications also border on other aspects of deprivation, including lack of access to services’ essential for health care delivery, literacy, political voice and legal protection. The study found out that there is a strong nexus between poverty and environmental degradation in the area, such that poverty is responsible for 76% of the high spate of environmental degradation in the study area.
