DESCRIPTION

Taival is a three-color, shallow triangle shawl made of garter stitch and stripes. Take it along the road as a traveling companion for both knitting on-the-go or, when finished, draped over your shoulders for extra warmth. (There's nothing stopping you from knitting it home in front of the telly, though.)

Straightforward garter stitch is interspersed with sections of narrow two-row stripes in alternating colors. This shawl is a compelling and fast-paced knit with absolutely no purl stitches… until the border.

The ruched border is made by rapidly doubling the stitch count for the see-through contrast-colored stripes knit with fluffy lace-weight mohair. Use slightly larger needles to enhance the effect even further.

The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. No charts are needed.
