L1 Introduction EME Aug 5, 2026
L1 dysfunction is the single most common driver of dysfunction I see in practice — and it's almost never diagnosed as the cause. It shows up as a hollow back, a horse that won't move forward, a hind leg the farrier can't hold, weight distribution that never sits right, a topline that won't build no matter what you feed or how you condition. Different owners. Different complaints. Same nerve root.
This is one hour, not a deep dive — it's the map before the terrain. What L1 is, where it sits at the thoracolumbar junction, how one compressed root splits into two signals — one to the back, one to the core and hind leg — and why that split explains why the "symptoms" never seem to be related.
You'll leave knowing what to look for in your own horse, and whether what you're seeing is worth chasing further. If it is, that's what the Intensive is for.
Not a hands-on class. No techniques taught here — this is the framework, so you know what you're looking at before you go looking for it.
