The pattern includes both charts and written instructions, so however you like to read your patterns, you’re covered! The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. These additional techniques are used: i-cord cast-on (straight-edged only), i-cord bind-off (both patterns) and applied i-cord (bandana cowl only).
- 194 m (212 yds) of Eden Cottage Titus DK (75% Merino/25% Silk, 245 yds/100g) in Misty Woods (bandana style) or Sand (straight-edged)
- 4mm (US 6) circular needles, 80 cm (32”) or longer for magic loop
- 3.5mm (US 5) circular needles, 35 cm (14”) or longer (32” for magic loop)
- Cable needle
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle for sewing in ends
- Blocking mat and pins
30 stitches and 32 rows in 10 cm (4”) in cable pattern.
Gauge is not essential but will also affect the amount of yarn used. Differences in gauge may also change the size of the finished cowl.
Bandana Cowl - 32cm (12.5”) deep by 48cm (19”) circumference.
Straight Edged Cowl - 16.5cm (6.5”) deep by 49.5cm (19.5”) circumference.
