Here is a PDF file of a knitting pattern for a lace shawl. It begins as a traditional Estonian piece, but doesn't have an edging. It does contain nupps and the directions are charted placing it between easy and intermediate on the skill level.
The finished piece is 60" x 60". I used 3,150 yards of a 2 ply lace weight yarn that is a blend of wool and silk. It was knit on a US size 4 knitting needle.
It is knit in one piece from start to finish. NO sewing or grafting. The background of the main body is stocking stitch so there is purling on this one.
