Meet Cheshire. The Current Small Responsible for Sustaining and Maintaining the Under rail.
Like all the smalls of the under-rail Cheshire was given a label often called the "poltergeist " of the under-rail Cheshire himself doesn't quite meet the labeling for any specific ghost...
Chesiree's Personality is modeled after Hermes and other trickster style gods. He doesn't remember exactly who he was before but does remember that underrail was meant to trap him. Hes spends his time guiding the other sigil holders to their jobs and exploring the underrail searching for an exit.
Personality quirks... can be invisible but likes to see if can get away with box sneaking. Is known to bribe people with chicken nuggets and is... a bit of a menace trying to get other sigil holders to lighten up. He has twos sigils one on each eye and is technically in base universe completely blind as a result but is able to sense the shifting energy of the underrail. Also is known to swear on occasion...
Things that Inspired him personality and writing wise:
Epic Hermes, The ghost from the top of the train in the polar express, Robin Hood other characters of that type. Mentor characters dealing with their own trauma but helping others and morally grey a bit.
Cheshire is jaded but cannot remember why. He Lives and DIES for drama. It's his journey with the party that causes him to sort of figure things out! The under-rail is dependent on him and needs him to function so by the end of the journey He comes to terms with that. Functionally becoming an overseer of death and reincarnation :3.
