New Features: Mobile App And Shipping
We’re working hard to keep on improving Payhip, building the features that will help you make your store a success.
We’re happy to be announcing some new features that will help manage your store and serve your customers.
1) Mobile App
This has probably been one of the most highly requested feature we’ve had! You can now install a mobile app on your phone/tablet to help with your store. This is just the first version and we have many more improvements planned for future. You’ll now be able to receive a notification on your device whenever you get a new sale. You’ll also have access to your orders and analytics to see at a glance how your store is doing and keep on top of your orders.

2) New Shipping System
For selling physical products our old shipping system was pretty flawed. At checkout customers would automatically have the cheapest shipping option available for them applied to their cart. There was no way for customers to choose the right shipping method for themselves. This now changes with the new shipping system, here’s what’s possible:
- You can setup different shipping rates for customers – and they’ll be able to select the option that’s best for them at checkout
- Product specific shipping profiles allow you to setup shipping rates that apply to specific products. For example you might have fragile or heavy items that need to have a different shipping rate compared to the rest of your products.
- Local pickup is now available which lets your customers choose to come to your store and pickup their order themselves

Can I add a price before and after discount on the product page, for example, the product price is $10 before the discount and $5 after the discount, with a strike-through on the $10 price?

Hi Christine. We will be sure to let you know if we decide to develop an app for customers too.
For TikTok links I have a few solutions that may work:
1. Use a URL shortening service like Bit.ly or similar
2. Use a link-in-bio service LinkTree or similar
3. Consider connecting your own Custom Domain so that you can share your domain on TikTok

Thanks for the great new features! I wanted to set separate sipping lates for regular shipping and EMS and let the user choose. Will this new feature allow me to do that?
Happy to help! Yes absolutely, your checkout page now allows customers to choose between separate shipping rates. So for example one rate could be for EMS and the other could be you standard shipping option. We’ve tried to make the new shipping system as flexible as possible!

Hi Rafiat! We don’t integrate with Flutterwave currently, but this has come up from other customers before so I’ve flagged you as another vote for that. I can’t say if/when we might implement this but please know that it’s on our radar!

Great the mobile app for a seller.
An improvement that I would highly appreciate on web and mobile is the possibility to filter out the free checkout.
Indeed, I have some free resources like a lead magnet, and it pollutes my sales which of course are more important to me.
Apart from that, having a mobile app for the clients to watch the courses or coaching would be a great differentiator and would add much value to the course to the client perspective.

Please bring this feature where my customer can play the music before visiting the product page, and a seek bar should also appear like Spotify where they can listen from any part of the audio and the product should be displayed in a horizontal layout where on the right side there is the option of add to cart / buy now

Is it possible to integrate with Australia Post for delivery pricing (in the future) please?
Apologies we currently do not have native integrations with Australia Post. We may integrate with such services in the future, but we don’t yet have a definite timeline for when this will be supported. I’m sorry about that.

Hey, I’ve just started using Payhip and love it so far, I was wondering, you have all these options to sell products/services with coaching/courses. Is there an option to use a course or coaching service your create and have it as an app. For example we can use payhip to create a website for our course but can we use it to create an app for our course or coaching. If not now would it be offered in future?
Hi Thomas. We don’t have a feature for Sellers to create an app for their course or coaching product. I’m sorry about that. I will pass your request onto the product team so they can consider it for future development. While we don’t have plans to build anything like that in the near future, I’ll be sure to reach out to you if anything changes about this.
Hi, thanks for the great work on the platform. Is there any chance you can implement one or more custom fields options for physical products that would be displayed on their product pages? As a small publisher selling books, I’d like to be able to list the author of each book in a better and more visually distinct way than pasting it into the description body text and having to format it every time.
Custom fields so that I could add a field for author and a field for genre would be amazing, and I’m sure there’s plenty of other great use-cases for custom fields too.

Great suggestion – custom fields could be really useful for adding personalized details and handling other specific needs like yours. I’ll share your suggestion with our team for future updates. For now, a workaround could be using Collections or setting up a tiered/nested menu to organize this.
Sadly the android app doesn’t work. I just get a black screen with a spinner on launching.
