A current doctoral candidate in wind band conducting at the University of Michigan, John Mange was a high school band director in Stoughton, Massachusetts, from 2012 to 2024 and served concurrently as the district’s K–12 Director of Fine Arts beginning in 2016.

John composes and arranges across idioms: concert works, arrangements, sacred settings, and original works including his Sonatina for Trumpet and Organ, premiered at the 2024 International Trumpet Guild conference. More info (and his blog) can be at www.johnmange.com
