Safe Harbor Peer Respite Center (Coming Soon)
A healing, rural space created by and for people with dissociative experiences.
Safe Harbor is evolving into a unique, peer-led center where folks navigating dissociation, fragmentation, and extreme stress can find grounding, rest, and connection — whether through short-term residential stays or structured daytime programs.
This is not a luxury retreat. It’s not a traditional clinical facility. Safe Harbor blends gentle, lived-experience-informed care with licensed therapeutic programming, offering a spectrum of support under one roof:
- Peer Respite Stays: 3 days to 1 month in a safe, home-like environment with 24/7 support from trained peers who understand multiplicity.
- Daytime Programs (PHP + IOP): Structured Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs for those who need more intensive, clinician-supported care while still living on the property.
Our vision includes:
- A small, welcoming property in a rural setting, possibly a renovated bed & breakfast.
- Capacity for 10-15 guests at a time.
- 24/7 peer support alongside licensed staff for daytime programs.
- Nourishing meals, trauma-informed routines, and optional supportive activities.
- Accessibility for folks with disabilities, sensory needs, and complex trauma histories.
- A strong boundary-respecting culture, with staff trained personally in deep peer presence and care.
We believe in holding space without forcing change, witnessing experiences, and supporting healing in safety rather than isolation.
Safe Harbor is currently in the startup phase, which means planning, fundraising, and building a sustainable foundation for ethical, high-quality care.
If you want to follow our progress, join the waitlist, support the vision, or collaborate, I’d love to connect.
Safe Harbor is where compassionate support meets lived experience.
