Safe Harbor Peer Respite Center (Coming Soon)
A healing, rural space created by and for people with dissociative experiences.
Safe Harbor is in the early stages of becoming a peer-led respite center where folks navigating dissociation, fragmentation, and extreme stress can find grounding, rest, and connection. This space is not a clinical facility or luxury retreat—it’s something gentler, rooted in lived experience, deep peer support, and the belief that healing happens in safety, not isolation.
Our vision includes:
- A small, welcoming property in a rural setting, possibly a renovated bed & breakfast
- Capacity for 5–10 guests at a time, with stays from 3 days to 1 month
- 24/7 support from trained peer staff with lived experience of multiplicity
- Nourishing meals, trauma-informed routines, and supportive activities (not mandatory programming)
- Accessibility for folks with disabilities, sensory needs, and complex trauma histories
- A strong boundary-respecting culture with staff trained personally in deep peer presence and care
We believe in offering a holding environment—not one that fixes or forces—but one that witnesses and makes space.
We’re currently in the startup phase.
That means planning, fundraising, and laying the groundwork for something that can grow sustainably and ethically.
If you want to follow our progress, support the vision, or collaborate in any way, I’d love to connect.
