About Me

What do a piano instructor, coach/mentor, podcast producer/writer, and performing arts professional (classical pianist) have in common? โ€” teaching!

I love to introduce new values, ideas, or concepts to my audiences โ€“ whether they are the listeners of my podcast show, my social media followers, piano students, fellow piano teachers, or concertgoers โ€“ by using my creativity in how I present them. I want to welcome them into a world they never knew existed before in a fun and engaging way that they feel included and relatable to the topic instead of intimidated by it. At first, they may not appreciate the new idea, but when their mindset shifts to understanding and acceptance, there is nothing like a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

The recent additions to my career titles are Creator, Executive Producer, Writer, Audio/Video Editor, and Host of a podcast show at The Piano Pod. I had felt a sense of urgency to fill the gap between classical music professionals and the market since I opened my piano teaching studio in NYC in 2007. The opportunity finally arrived in the summer of 2020 to start a new project with the help of two of my colleagues to connect classical musicians to audiences through podcasting.

Since its launch, I have interviewed guests who have been breaking exciting new ground in the classical piano industry to discuss the traditions of the piano and expand its capabilities in this new era. The guest speakers include A-list pianists and composers, performance psychologists, music technologists, educators, entrepreneurs, live-streamers, and neurodiverse specialists.

So, whether I wear a podcast producer, piano instructor, coach, podcast specialist, or performing art professional's hat today, my calling is to be an educator.
