I’m Nick Wavy — entrepreneur, content creator, and founder of Wavy Merch and Wavy Buds.

All my friends went to university, but I felt like that wasn't for me. I started creating my own ways to make money, and this sparked my entrepreneurial lifestyle.

In 2012, I started my YouTube Channel. I entered a 360 Wave competition, and month after month, I kept losing. Every month I lost, it made me work even harder. Eventually I was crowned the Wave King, and at that moment I learned if im consistent with anything, I will be successful.

My goal was to hit 100,000 subscribers, and receive the YouTube plaque. I continued making YouTube videos, and my subscriber count grew slowly but surely. I felt like my life was complete once I received my 100,000 plaque. To-date, I have 253,000 subscribers. I stopped creating YouTube videos for a few years, and started focusing more on becoming a business man. YouTube never paid my bills, my businesses did.

In 2018, I launched my hair product manufacturing company named Wavy Merch. I manufactured hair brushes, durags, and wave cream; tools needed to achieve the hairstyle my audience was built around. At the time, I had 155,000 subscribers, so I decided to double-down, and manufacture my own brush. I was nervous, but within 2 weeks, I made all my money back.

After being on social media for majority of my life, I decided for a change. I completely stepped away from social media, and focused on making money offline. I opened up a barbershop in Toronto named Wavy Cuts. Unfortunately, the lockdown commenced the first week I opened. Nothing I could do about it except adapt. The same week I closed, the government granted me my Retail Cannabis License in Toronto, and I proceeded to open up my chain of stores named Wavy Buds. After 4 years of lessons, I sold the assets of my business in 2025, and closed up shop.

Shortly after I closed Wavy Buds, I signed a licensing agreement with The Cut Buddy. I licensed one of my brush prototypes, my face on the package, and the use of my name, and we launched the Nick Wavy Collection across stores in America. Currently in Walmart & CVS, The Nick Wavy Collection consists of a durag, a soft & hard brush, and a laydown glove. The years of work I put in has now started paying me royalties every time my product sells in stores.

Starting in 2015, I decided to take the gym seriously. I started out a measly 180 pounds, and bulked up to 220lbs. It changed my life drastically. I started to get respected when I entered a room. No matter how many businesses I owned, I always found time to focus on my training and nutrition. I took my bulk up to 245lbs, then decided to lean out for the first time in my life.

With years of studying nutrition and the body, I lost over 50lbs, and once again, transformed my life. I feel better, my face is slimmer, and I get much more compliments than I did when I was heavier. With over 10 years of experience, I have a much better understanding of the body, and how the little changes along with discipline, can change your life.
