About Me

I am Oliver Züger. I work as a professor of psychology and as a commercial airline Captain.

In my academic work, I focus on psychological stability, decision making, and human performance. I teach and conduct research in areas related to how individuals think, respond, and perform under pressure.

Alongside this, I operate and teach in aviation, where consistent performance and precise decision making are critical. These environments require clarity, responsibility, and control, and they directly influence how I approach my work.

By combining academic research with real world experience, I developed the PSI framework, Personal Stability Index, a structured model that explains how factors such as resilience, mindset, purpose, and stress interact to influence stability and performance.

I am also the author of several books on psychology, resilience, and human performance, including Happiness 101, which explores the foundations of human flourishing from a structured and research based perspective.

My approach is not based on motivation or general advice. It is based on understanding how internal and external factors interact, and how stability, clarity, and control can be developed in demanding situations.
