Designed for the celestial body to build layered & complex skills whilst moving through familiar and unfamiliar grounded pathways. Floor transitions will be discovered and/or reimagined with creativity, intention, and precision. We will learn foundational thread throughs, pivots, weighted shifts, and “cranks” (levers that create speed) within our grounded floorwork patterns. We will be creating skills that can be used in endless combination. This is well suited for All Levels.
Recommendations: Knee pads are highly recommended. Layers are recommended, for sliding and protecting sensitive areas of the skin. Heels are recommended but optional.

SPIRALLING DOWN High Beginner/Intermediate
Welcome to one of Elspeth’s favourite realms of pole. In this workshop we will explore upright static rotations, learn how to maximise spin, and dive into unique transitions to add intrigue to your aerial movement. This introductory workshop will provide a chance for students to explore transitions while guided by prompts, but will also teach students a number of foundational tools for smooth rotation. Be prepared for the thigh burn!
This workshop is predominantly focused on upright skills off the ground, and is suited for almost all levels, particularly those who are new to static rotation. Students should be confident with climbs, seats, and static spins (such as front hook/chair spin/etc)!

In this workshop we will be combining static rotation with creative grip changes, thread throughs, inverts and other transitions to produce eye-catching movement that'll leave the audience thinking *wait... what just happened* (like, in a good way). We will be learning a number of unique dynamic transitions and skills, with emphasis on rotations around and on the pole! This workshop is focused on both upright and inverted skills, and requires comfort in transitioning through leg hangs, butterflies, and brass monkey shapes. Familiarity with static rotation is a plus!
