About Me

S Monfils-Edwards is an author and creator who writes practical, encouraging guides for people living with fibromyalgia.

She knows the condition from the inside. Living with fibromyalgia has taught her what the stiff mornings, the unpredictable flares, and the low-energy days really feel like, and how easy it is to feel discouraged when advice does not fit a body in pain. Rather than letting the diagnosis define her, she chose to focus on what she could do: learn, adapt, and look for small, steady changes that make each day a little gentler.

That mindset shaped her books. Loosen the Knots brings fibromyalgia-friendly eating into the kitchen with simple recipes designed for limited energy and sore hands. Its companion, Unwind the Knots, offers gentle, knee-friendly stretches and routines that protect tender points. Both books draw on published research, list their sources, and are written in a calm, plain-language voice that meets readers where they are.

S Monfils-Edwards believes positivity is not about pretending pain is not there. It is about choosing hope, giving yourself grace on hard days, and celebrating every small win. Her goal is to help others with fibromyalgia feel more informed, more supported, and more in charge of their own comfort.

When she is not writing, she enjoys creating live content, encouraging others through self-love and positivity, and spending time with her husband, daughter, grandkids, and pets.

Her books are for general education and are meant to support, not replace, the care of a medical team.
