A MAGICAL NEW RELEASE - The Unwanted Inheritance of the Bookman Brothers

Hello Book Lovers!

I hope everyone is ready for what just might be the longest love letter ever written for Valentine's Day.

Or at least the longest one I've ever written.

That's right, today is Release Day for The Unwanted lnheritance of the Bookman Brothers, a novella all about the magic of books, bookstores, and a lightly humorous look at my love of books.

Before we begin...

AS ever, let me start things off by throwing out a HUGE THANKS to all of you who pre-ordered a copy of the book.

Your early interest not only meant the Bookman Brothers' antics landed on your e-reader this morning (or possibly earlier if you ordered directly from me), but you also helped give the book a little boost on its birthday!

A Delight to Write

This story was an absolute delight to write.

And not just because it's only about half the length of my regular books.

As you'll see at the end of the novella, this tale was inspired by, of all things, a sappy TV ad that my devious mind twisted into something silly and slightly menacing.

The idea wouldn't let go, so finally I gave into the muse and jotted down a quick outline.

And from there, the book came together with hardly a hitch - it's always good when the muse decides to play nice.

Anyway, I honestly did have a terrific time writing this story (meaning, I didn't hate heading into each draft), and I'm really pleased with the end result of this little tale.

Of course, I hope you'll also enjoy this little spot of humor, magical realism, and a whole lotta of book love : )

Ebooks and Paperbacks, Big Retailers and Small

The Unwanted inheritance of the Bookman Brothers is currently available on my Payhip Bookstore. And if you shop directly with me, you'll get the book at a slight discount for a limited time ($2.99 vs the regular price of $3.99USD)

Or, if you prefer, e-books of The Unwanted inheritance of the Bookman Brothers are also available at all the usual book-selling suspects (official release date for those is 14 February, though).

You'll find those suspects at https://books2read.com/bookman-brothers

If you're a paperback fan, you'll also find a few of the shops currently carrying them at that same link.

The list of paperback retailers is a little slim right now (things are a bit slower on the paperback side of publishing), but you can always ask your friendly bookshop or library to order a copy for you.

Just give them the title and author, or provide them the ISBN 979 821 519 1491 and they should have no trouble getting the book for you.

Of course, if you want to try a sample before you buy, keep scrolling down toward the end of this post : )

That's (Sort of) It...

Okay, that's about it for this "buy my book" post.

However, if you haven't read them yet, you'll find a short sample from The Unwanted lnheritance of the Bookman Brothers below.

As ever, thanks to everyone who continues to read my work. It means so much that you enjoy the wacky things my brain comes up with.

Happy Reading!!

The Description...

Reggie and Enton Bookman have just inherited their grandfather's bookshop. The place is profitable, well-loved by the community, and situated in a lively shopping district.

But the Bookman brothers want nothing to do with it. After all, who in the world would want to waste their time around books when they could sell the place, pocket a few million, and experience VIP airport lounges and first-class flights?

With such a hot property, selling it should be easy, right?

Not when every scheme the brothers come up with to rid themselves of the shop hits obstacle after obstacle.

And the more time Enton spends in the shop, the more he starts to believe it's not just bad luck thwarting their efforts.

If you believe in the magic of books and enjoy a bit of humor with your magical realism, you'll love the exploits of the Bookman brothers.
