GREP Text to Unicode Converter is an Adobe InDesign script that converts text you type or paste into its Unicode hexadecimal representation in \x{XXXX} format. The conversion happens live as you type, making it a fast scratchpad for identifying special characters and assembling GREP search strings.

It runs as a floating palette with an input field at the top and a read-only Unicode Values field below it. Type or paste any text into the input and the \x{XXXX} tokens appear instantly. Send to Find (or Shift+click for Send to Change) injects the result into InDesign’s GREP Find/Change dialog, and Clear resets both fields.
