Automate Object Style Application with GREP Pattern Matching

GREP Apply Object Style is an Adobe InDesign script that applies object styles to text frames based on what their text contains. You build a list of rules — each pairing an InDesign GREP pattern with an object style — and the script searches every frame in scope; any frame whose text matches the pattern receives the matching object style.

It is built for styling frames by content rather than by hand: tag every frame that contains a price, a phone number, a code, or any pattern you can express in GREP, and give them a consistent look in one pass. Rule sets can be saved as presets, patterns can be imported from InDesign’s own saved GREP queries, and a progress bar with a cancel button keeps long runs under control.
