Four Stashbusting Cowls
These four cowls use 4ply/fingering or Aran weight yarns paired with silk-mohair or silk-alpaca to give light, airy, warm neckwear. Three are designed with 4ply, the fourth uses Aran weight, and each is a great way of using up stash to great effect. They are all knit at a large gauge to trap air and create a cosy accessory.
Airy is knit in 4ply/fingering and features stripes of silk-mohair.
Toasty is knit in Aran weight held together with the silk-mohair or silk-alpaca to create a funnel-neck and a close fitting cape over the shoulders.
Dotty is knit in 4ply/fingering with a simple slip stitch pattern giving dots of silk-mohair colour.
Wavy is knit in 4ply/fingering and uses the silk-mohair as a contrasting stripe in the Old Shale pattern, a long-time favourite lacy design.
All four patterns have written instructions and two also have charts. They have all been thoroughly professionally tech edited, but have not been test knit except by me. Full pattern support is available by email.
Each cowl pattern is also available individually:
