Spark of Rebellion: Path to Independence is a strategic, choice-driven American Revolution simulation that challenges students to build a revolution without triggering collapse. Rather than starting with muskets and battles, students experience the Revolution as it actually began: through propaganda, secrecy, economic pressure, coordination, and risk.

Players take on the role of a colonial resistance organizer from 1763 to 1776, managing revolutionary sentiment and British suspicion across New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and the South. Every action carries tradeoffs. Printing pamphlets spreads liberty but raises suspicion. Smuggling funds the movement but attracts Redcoat attention. Riots energize the cause but risk martial law.

As time advances, students confront major historical flashpoints including the Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, Boston Massacre, Tea Act, Continental Congress, and Lexington and Concord. Each event forces a choice that reshapes the revolutionary landscape. Push too hard and the British crack down. Move too slowly and independence slips away.

At key moments, the game shifts into an immersive stealth mini-game where students must courier intelligence through British-controlled Boston, sneaking past patrols under cover of darkness. These sequences transform abstract ideas like secrecy and surveillance into lived experiences.

The goal is clear but difficult: raise colonial unity above 90 percent by July 1776 without allowing British suspicion to hit 100 percent in any region. Success feels earned. Failure feels historically plausible.
