Caesar's Gambit
Caesar’s Gambit: The Fall of the Republic is a strategic, turn-based board game that immerses students in the power struggles of Ancient Rome during the final years of the Roman Republic. Players command rival Roman factions and maneuver hidden military and political units across a grid-based battlefield inspired by the structure of Stratego. Victory is not achieved simply through force, but through calculated risk, deception, and a deep understanding of Roman military hierarchy and political power. Play against computer or pass and play against a friend.
Each piece represents a real Roman unit or political figure, from Legions and Centurions to Senators and Spies, each with unique strengths, weaknesses, and historical significance. As players advance across the board, they must anticipate enemy moves, protect key leaders, and exploit Roman social and military structures to secure dominance.
