About this work

The piece incorporated two catholic prayers: The ‘Ave Maria’ and ‘Memorare' placed together. The petitioning prayer for forgiveness should make the piece pleading and passionate within its simple texture, stillness and moments of silence. With no ornaments or embellishments, the music reflects the atmosphere and nature of the text and the melissmatic nature of the human voice.
