TME Performance Trampolining Years 10–11 | Ages 14–16 | KS4
TME Performance Trampolining is a carefully structured seven-lesson Scheme of Learning for Years 10–11 Core PE. It places safety, control and technical consistency at the centre of progression while developing routine composition, peer coaching, judging and personal evaluation.
The sequence begins with apparatus safety, controlled bouncing, stopping and a performance baseline. Pupils then develop shape jumps and secure landings before introducing half twists, directional control and spatial awareness. Seat landings and safe recovery to the feet are followed by preparation for a front landing and controlled recovery. Pupils then select approved skills to compose a fluent routine, coach peers and prepare for a final performance showcase involving judging and personal review.
The 16-page resource contains two curriculum and assessment pages, seven one-page lesson plans and seven matching lesson infographics. The introductory pages provide curriculum context, progression, Know and Show outcomes, specialist vocabulary, inclusion, safety and Head–Heart–Hands assessment standards.
Every lesson includes:
- Head, Heart and Hands learning objectives
- Timed Warm-up, Explore, Develop, Apply and Plenary sections
- Detailed apparatus set-up, rotation and waiting-position guidance
- Progressive teaching points for take-off, flight, body shape and landing
- Clear prerequisites that prevent pupils progressing before they are ready
- STEP differentiation for bounce height, number of elements, support and challenge
- AfL through observation, peer coaching, control criteria and routine evidence
- SEND and EAL adaptations and meaningful coach, judge, recorder and safety roles
- Explicit supervision, spotting, matting and stop-procedure guidance
- Plan–Monitor–Reflect prompts and analytical oracy structures
The scheme enables teachers to deliver progressive trampolining confidently while maintaining appropriate supervision and safe individualised challenge.
