This one is a real deep dive into my own history. I wanted to write something that hit on the three big ones: life, death, and love. It’s definitely bittersweet; it’s that feeling you get when you look in the mirror and wonder where the decades went.
In the lyrics, I’m basically lamenting lost youth—there’s that desperate wish that we could just bottle up the "good old days" and keep them on a shelf forever. But even with that sadness and the realization of how fast time moves, I wanted the heart of the song to be a celebration. It’s about the fact that even as we get older, there’s this incredible love that stays constant. It’s a tribute to a love that can actually last a lifetime, even when everything else is changing.
