Anemones have always been one of my favorite flowers, with their large single petals, and delicate stems… But I have always found the word "anemone" to be so hard to say! (You can laugh at me now.) So I went digging around on the Internet, and discovered that the common name for several varieties has the word “windflower” in it. This was perfect. For one thing, I can say it. Plus, this field of windflowers will help protect you from winter’s chilly winds.
Cowl is worked in the round. Knitting begins with a huge number of stitches, most of which go into that scalloped, ruffled edge. A somewhat loose I-cord is used to bind off, and to provide a neatly finished edge to balance the loops on the opposite edge.
