Create a bookmark or small textile in your frame loom with the Scandinavian and highly versatile weaving technique Krokbragd.

Krokbragd is a type of weaving that gives as result a thick and compact textile which Scandinavian women used to wove rugs, blankets and tapestries with, among other homely textiles for the daily life.

It's a very interesting technique because with one same sequence that always repeats itself, by just changing colours you can create an unlimited amount of designs. It's magical and really impressive!

It's a wonderful way to get yourself familiarized with this technique before jumping, if desired, in weaving bigger textiles or even designing your own Krokbragd patterns.

What does this 26 pages PDF includes?

- A forest inspired pattern (mushrooms, trees, flowers, deer, sheep & more) divided in several pages to have a good visibility of it and be able to print it.

- Data sheet & FAQ

- Guidelines for grid/pattern reading

- Understanding the sequence + a free video of the sequence put into action

- Yarn interlocking (selvedges)

What materials will you need?

- A frame loom

- Seven different colors of cotton 8/6 or 8/8

- Yarn needles (ideally seven, one for each color - recommended but not mandatory)

- Comb (a fork is always welcome as well)

This pattern is mainly oriented to people who already have an intermediate/advanced knowledge of weaving on a frame loom.

Nevertheless, if you are just beginning in the weaving world keep in mind I've added instructions to explain how to sequence and yarn intersection on the edges work.
