I wasn’t that big of a fan of physics in school but there was one thing that always amazed me: the light spectrum. All those pretty colors hidden inside every single ray of light! And how rainbows make them shine! With this rainbow mug rug I can have one around me every time I want to. And so can you. 😎
The pattern comes in size 6“ (unfinished at 6.5“) for the mug-only square version and 6“ x 8.5“ (unfinished at 6.5“ x 9“) with a sidebar, each one with a right handed and a left handed version and with a coloring sheet. The individual sections are clearly labeled and have a ¼“ seam allowance. There are no curves or y-seams. The pattern comes as PDF files in A4 & US Letter paper format.
This pattern is a beginner friendly foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern that assumes only little basic knowledge of paper piecing. It does not include detailed FPP instructions, but it has instructions for turning it into a mug rug. You can find lots of free tutorials for the various FPP methods online.
